meaningful bantering
Feb. 17th, 2003 02:47 pmLast night I continued to watch more "Queer As Folk", which
scattymatty swears makes him gay. I don't know about whether or not the show has the power to influence your sexuality, but it definitely kept me from sleep for awhile. These dvd boxed sets of series shows have a lot of footage.
Speaking of dvd's, I should mention that I also own a copy of "Bring It On" on dvd, which is an excellent movie.
ancksunamun and I have watched it already, in two sittings. For some reason I thought that I was obsessed with this movie, just because of all the eye-candy in it and not necessarily because its so well-constructed... However! Yesterday evening I was talking to Beauty1, who can recite the entire entry scene cheer by heart. I can't do that. My level of obsession pales by comparison. I should also check this sort of thing with
e_princess, because she has a propensity towards memorising things like that. Perhaps I should bring it around to her place, since I could also grab a couple of wavebirds to bring over as well.
Hooray for gamecube. Rani's getting particularly good at Super Smash Brothers, which is quite awe-inspiring. Currently she's collecting coins to gain yet another trophy. I'm still holding my own in most of the multiplayer games though which at least is heartening.
Amazingly enough my copy of blackbox has decided to start working again, just before I managed to get enough motivational material together (programs randomly crashing and generally not working very well) to reinstall fink and xdarwin from the ground up. I have another problem with my powerbook which I haven't fully troubleshot either, my svideo out port appears not to be working properly on Rani's TV. I hope its a hassle with the TV, and not the port, otherwise I suppose its going to have to make a trip to some kind of servicing center where they can check if something like a toothpick has been wedged into the laptop. This means some days without my laptop, which will make me unhappy.
Speaking of electronic devices, I now own a PDA which I could actually make this livejournal entry on, although I need to get for it a USB cable (rather than a cradle, which is more than a little annoying to use), and the extended battery. I'm not sure how I'm going to manage this when I'm already up for $300 for 'required' textbooks for my pre-requisite uni subjects this semester. For a final note, I actually have my uni timetable. I'm busy all week, but not very much on Thursdays and Fridays. Yay. :)
