Platonism's primary philosophical tenet is "know thyself", which is not as simple as it appears. To "know" your true intent means to "know" the foundations of your ideas and the arguments they are based upon. Once your argument's foundations are fundamentally understood, you are optimally placed to reconfigure any ideas they generate if your positions are challenged.

With that in mind I'd like to consider some concrete examples of Platonic ideals in the form of smoothie recipes:

Recipe #1:
Ingredients: 1 orange, 1 banana, 2 fresh or dried figs, 2 tbsp. of crushed almonds, 2 tbsp. of flaxseed oil, 1/3 cup of water.

Recipe #2:
Ingredients: 1 apple, 1 banana, 1 cup of raspberries, half a lemon, 1 tbsp. of flaxseeds.

Recipe #3:
Ingredients: 1 banana, 2 kiwis, 1 orange, half an apple, 1 tbsp. of hazelnut, 1 tbsp. of flaxseeds.

Just like the Platonic ideal of "know thyself" applies to everyone's sense of self, each recipe preparation is the same for all 3 recipes: mix all of the ingredients in a blender to get a smooth mixture.

To fundamentally understand the flavour, you have to consume them, and if you find enjoying the flavour of a recipe challenging, reconfigure it - based upon your personal optimisation of its ingredients.

Through this process you will gain greater understanding of metaphysical Platonist ideal forms through the real-world metaphor of smoothies. Enjoy!
