My god, this thing is so cool I'm going to have to go home and put on some pants, just so that I can attempt to fit this graphics tablet inside them.
For those of you who don't know... well as of entry last night there's probably not a lot of you; this morning I went to a local distributor of various graphic design products and bought a wacom graphics tablet. Specifically this one.
Its freaking huge!
The drawing area is like the size of the viewable area on my 17" CRT monitor (albeit a crappy monitor). Its the best size for holding in your lap while you draw. Oooh, so goood. :)
Now I just have to learn how to use the stupid thing; then I have to get a lot better at drawing things, and then I'll be able to produce works of digital art which will astound any audience I choose to place my creations in front of! I can barely wait.
There's a long road ahead. Probably fraught with peril and chocolate, and it will undoubtedly involve me linking off here to lots of really terrible awful pictures I'm attempting to draw whilst I embark on the perilous path of the struggles of the artiste.
One thing I don't want to do is get discouraged about this and stop using the damn thing, please nobody let me do that... especially when I can actually plug it into a laptop and still get a decent amount of battery life... its a portable sketchpad, with a hefty pricetag.
At least its relatively immune to having coffee spilt on it... ooh, but wait! Imagine the lines you could snort of this monster of a flat surface! My godfather! ^^
