Although the AngryArab.org site did have a large amount of commentary on the current situation from a less-than respected viewpoint to the majority of the western world; its still quite interesting that it should go down at the moment.
Something like a disclaimer would have been a good idea, but there's a general need for that on any site that has commentary which may be considered inciteful or dissentary in some manner.
Still, its quite interesting how various organisations like the FBI are attempting to quell what could well amount to huge civil unrest by censoring material concerning middle-eastern centered attiitudes.
But people dancing in the streets after thousands of innocent people have been brutally massacred is just... strange. I don't understand how people could be jubilant at that...
Also, something else interesting happened here in Australia the day before yesterday; at a Queensland university there were several arrests made becasue a group of Islamic students decided to hold an impromtu 'party' celebrating the terrorist attacks, complete with banners declaring supportive slogans. They were dispersed by the police, becasue there were fears that other students would try to stop them, and people could have gotten injured in the process.
Thats probably not the best thing to happen, since we're supposed to have freedom of expression here; but the general feeling towards muslims here in Australia; while apparently its never been particularly good, is even worse now.
In other news, something resembling a plane has hijacked and crashed the resierFS drive on the machine hosting deflexion.org, so its going to be down for awhile until a new host can be found, this one proven to be unreliable.
What sucks is that it was a physical disk failure, and I'd just backed up the entire site and user archives... *bleh* :(
