"I will not leave the American people at the mercy of the Iraqi dictactor."
Which basically equates to:
"If we bomb them to bits, they'll feel so much more 'liberated', that we can put someone much more pliable in his place."
I saw something else today which was almost as ironic; on Elizabeth st. in the city there's a drain which has a message stamped into the concrete, reading "Dump no waste - flows to river."
In the drain there was a large catchment device which had in it what looked to be an entire print run of leaflets, titles proudly proclaiming on non-recycled artificially coloured paper; "Save The Earth".
Way to go, world. :|
