Well... guess who stayed up the whole of last night learning how to install and use the latest Java environment and Java Forte development environment? Guess who's now on an amount of goey in order to cope with this staying up all night thing?
Well that'd be me, you got it.
It was an experiment, and I think I'm going to be forced to unwillingly declare a success.
I really should think about this a lot more clearly before I do things like this.
Apparently calcium is like the contacts on the carbohydrate battery which powers me, so I have to indulge a fair bit in the milk drinks and things today.
Probably staying up all night usually would have something to do with my unnatural good demeanor this morning I would assume, but that's just a guess as usual.
WinXP is ticking me off hardcore on this machine, I can't do anything with it and its unstable as all hell, so I'm going to see how much time/effort I'd have to invest in installing win2k and a full debian distro onto the damn thing.
Its not like I'm ever going to think about using 20gb of hard drive space unless I'm either ripping DVD's onto here, or copying obscene amounts of warez to and fro.
Which makes me wonder where the HELL my damn CD's are? I guess that's the risk you run when you're dealing with people online whom you've never met and are sending them quasi-cash via paypal. That sucks.
In other news, Japan plans are still no closer to reality from fantasy than before, but perhaps I like them that way. There's a lot to said for having an entirely ethereal goal which more than likely has no hope of being achieved unless something pretty spectacular happens.
I don't want to break my duck now and actually get into any danger of going (actually yes I do I'm just trying to talk myself out of it for the moment because I had a look at my bank balance).
Damn this laptop was expensive. That keeps crossing my mind.
I want to sell some computer equipment, both new and oldish, is there anyone interested? Make me fair offers and I will part with many things. :) There'll be a list coming soon on deflexion.org!
Trust me. *smiles evilly*
