So I'm sitting at Ric's with Alia and Maha... and I'm going to write another entry about something later on.
Alia's revealed to me that he's been reading my journal and taking it seriously. More fool him I say. :)
I'm definitely going to Japan, dammit! Its the first goal I've had in awhile, there's no good reason to not go, especially if its just for a holiday. I'm sure that Alia's serious about going and stuff too now.
Hamish keeps being surprised that pretty much everyone in Brisbane knows about him either through myself or through Jeremy, but then again its been revealed that most people who have heard about him through me have read about him on here, so all you livejournallers beware, the Hamish is in town and out and about to get you (there, you made it into another entry, I'll bet you feel just ecstatic).

I got home at.... ~6:30am. Wow. I kinda slept (waking dream of rolling around in bed) and woke up just before 11 o'clock in the morning. Showers are sooo good when you need them particularly badly.
This Ranma episode is pretty, weird. *heh* I love OVA's... I just want to know where I've seen all these before. I _love_ that Ranma is sort of aimed at youngish teens! Incredible stuff... :)
Mmmmh that was a nice breakfast. Cereal, lovely vanilla coffee and a muffin-type-thing with blueberry jam. I guess we're running out of blueberry jam too.
There's a proverb in Japan which is analagous to being told to being told to "swallow a blowfish". It doesn't translate well into English though. They alsy have this cool stuff called 'Tayaki' which is bean-curd stuff cooked into what amounts to bread coating (I'm gathering is a sweet sort of food becasue the theme has children eating it as a snack food).
There's a very weird anime that I've been watching called 'Kanon', which is set in a town which seems to have perpetual snow. There's a lot of excuses for the characters looking helpless and lost in blizzard-snow blowing everywhere, and a weird theme with a headband and whathaveyou. There's also a lot of excuses for characters being hypersensitive, which is something I'll never understand as a plot device.
One thing I do understand is the concept of the 'pinky-swear'! Its even carried over into a lot of things. 'Official' promises are so much better than regular-type ones.
Dammit I so need to learn Japanese before I get even more infatuated with Japanese culture, then at least I might understand 1/2 of whats going on in all these animes and stuff. Plus being able to speak Japanese would be kinda cool RE: future employment opportunities.
At some point tomorrow, I'm going to go shopping in the valley at the cool anime place which is near Chinatown. I'm obsessed, I know... but I'm thinking that I'm going to have to act on this particular obsession and become some kind of complete Otaku character before I can get over it.
Someone please stop me if it starts to look like I'm going to spend more than $100 in a single sitting at any particular place though... or if I start attempting to cosplay, or express a desire to go to a convention (in fact if that happens I'm expecting everyone to beat me soundly in order to bring me to my senses).
